Amsterdam Night Expeditions

As part of his ongoing exploration of projection in public space, Rimiyoho conducted a series of night interventions across the heart of Amsterdam with a mobile setup powered by a portable laser projector and Tagtool for iPad.

 

He moved through the streets, canals, and facades featuring vibrant jellyfish swimming across boats and under the city’s brick bridges, introducing unexpected layers of visual narrative into public space and testing how light and color could transform the urban landscape.

The experience highlighted both the versatility of portable projection tools and the potential of Amsterdam’s, he was able to adapt quickly to the urban setting, the city’s architecture and mood offered an ideal environment for projection, turning public space into a temporary canvas.
